When I came across this from DashingDish I just knew I had to make it! Mac and cheese is definitely a comfort food, but it is also high in protein. By making this with whole wheat macaroni and low fat cheeses you can have your Mac and cheese and not feel guilty! Also, no stove-top is required and it is done in less than ten minutes, enjoy!

Ingredients:
½ cup whole wheat macaroni
1 cup water
Pinch of salt
¼ low fat milk
¼ cup low fat cottage cheese
2 slices of low fat cheese, or about 6 tbsp of shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
1. Combine macaroni, water, and salt in a bowl
2. Microwave for 6 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes
3. Once most of the water has absorbed stir in milk and cheeses and microwave for an additional 2 minutes
4. Stir and add in pepper or mustard powder if desired
